This elegant home is located in the hills above Kaukapakapa township, with wonderful views and privacy and a sealed road most of the way to the shared driveway. Rooms are bright and spacious, and generous North-facing decking provides ample space for relaxing or entertaining outdoors. Views from the property really are quite spectacular, whatever the season, and acres and acres of lush native bush cover the surrounding hills. The scenery is rugged, but majestic, and you feel you could be miles and miles from anywhere. There is peace and tranquility here for those who yearn it, yet you are just twenty minutes drive from Silverdale and SH1, and twenty-five from Albany shopping mall. The grazing suits sheep, goats or alpacas; you can have your own fruit trees, veg & herb garden, and some chooks for fresh eggs. If you dream of escaping the crowds and the noise, but still be within easy commuting distance of the North Shore, you should come and see what nature has to offer. Lifestyle-living at an affordable price.
This property is located in the hills behind the rural village of Kaukapakapa. The village offers an excellent Primary School and there is a school bus service to Kaipara College and selected North Shore schools. The village has a hotel, cafe, hot food takeaway, local post shop, dairy, vet, etc., and a new retail development has been consented to provide a service station, several shops and offices in the future. Kaukapakapa is a friendly, vibrant village with a lot going on and is an excellent place with a bright future ahead. Local Ag days bring the community together to enjoy each others company and try the food bars, while the kids compete to win prizes with their calves, lambs, goats and chickens. There is also a very active community group known as KARRA (Kaukapakapa Area Residents and Ratepayers Association) that arranges voluntary community improvement work and keeps us up to date with political issues and environmental issues that may have an impact on our community. It is a rural village but it is not remote, and is within easy commuting distance to Silverdale, Orewa, Albany and the North Shore in one direction, and Helensville, Kumeu, Westgate and West Auckland in another. There is also a variety of outdoor activities available all fairly close by.
